Teaching Your Toddler New Games to Play

While you may think that video games are only for adults. There are now more ways for you to get your toddler to become more comfortable with technology early on. The thing to look at before choosing a game for your toddler is what interface is most appropriate for your child.

If you own a Wii this is the easiest console to show your toddler to play new games. The motion controls are quick and easy to use and teach since the controller acts like a real world object. This also helps your toddler advance according to Worf’s theory of play by having them learn complex game formats earlier on and shows them how to interact with people as well as objects.

If you don’t own a Wii there are plenty of ways to get your child involved in gaming. The best way to accomplish this is to find a game that is associated with characters and things they know. Be sure to have patience when showing them how to use the mouse or keyboard in order to play these games.

These are just a few suggestions for you to teach your toddler how to play video games. The best thing to do though is to take your time and find something that is easily accessed. If you do this you and your toddler will be having fun in no time.
