7 Gaming Tips for Black Ops
August 4th, 2011
With so many people playing Black Ops, you’re sure to run into some tough opponents online. These 7 tips will help you keep the upper hand.
1. Adjust Your Controller Sensitivity
Whether you’re playing on a PC with a mouse and keyboard, or using a gaming controller, try adjusting your sensitivity to better suit your play style. Try gradually increasing your sensitivity. As you become used to it, your reaction times will become faster.
2. Pay Close Attention To Your Radar
The radar communicates a lot of useful information, and it’s surprising how many players don’t pay much attention to it. Glancing at the radar every few seconds will let you know where enemies are firing un-silenced weapons, as well as where your teammates are.
3. Stay Off The Radar
Once you learn how useful radar is, you’ll realize that you want to stay off your opponents’ radar as much as possible. If you’re close to an opponent, use your knife if possible. Try to use silenced weapons as well.
4. Learn The Maps
The more you know about the maps, the more of an advantage you have. Also, your opponents will have less of an advantage if you know the maps as well as or better than them.
5. Avoid Open Areas
This is a quick way to get sniped, or fired on from all sides. Try to find a different route to wherever you’re headed, like underground tunnels.
6. Cook Grenades
“Cooking” a grenade is waiting a while before you throw it so it explodes either mid-air or as soon as it hits the ground. This leaves no time for your opponents to react.
7. Use Burst Instead Of Auto
Burst fire is more accurate than auto, since your crosshairs reset faster, so switch to burst whenever possible.
