The console wars continue as Sony announces that the PS4 will prospectively be released in late 2012. This date will fluctuate based off of PS3 sales. If PS3 continues to lose the console war against Xbox 360 and Wii then the date will be moved up so that they can be the first to release this time.

There is speculation regarding what it will look like and what features it will have. Motion control will now be built in and the rumor is that the controller for the system will be more like the Kinect. They will more than likely stick with the Blu-ray discs as the technology is sound and holds more than most games can fit anyway. More than likely Sony will be sticking with the Cell processors that they spent 3 billion to develop, but of course stronger and able to work at faster speeds than the current 3.2 GHz. One feature that this will allow is backwards compatibility with PS3 games, something that would please fans tremendously.

There is still much conjecture surrounding the design and release of the PS4, but one thing fans are sure of? You can expect an outrageous price tag on this new system again.

Following the great success of the Playstation consoles, many gamers are on the edges of their seats, eager to know when Sony’s next generation console, the Playstation 4, will be released. Unfortunately, solid details have been rather nonexistent. Head developers at Sony have been very tight-lipped about the whole situation; the only official word being that development is underway. In the years since that statement, precious little has been learned on the subject.

According to Sony, there is a development room left in the current PS3; current games have yet to push the envelope for the system’s full potential.I found some more information here. For expectant PS4 buyers, this is bad news, since this leaves little reason for Sony to begin a next generation information leak. Outside reports have been no more helpful. Unofficial release dates have been stated as early as mid-2012, and as late as 2015.

However, the situation delivers more than just despair. Multiple teaser videos have come out, and though no decisive release information is available, general agreement seems to point toward a 2012 release. Pressure, too, will be applied by the release of Nintendo’s Wii-U, which has a tentatively scheduled release in June of 2012.

If development has in fact been underway, the likely conclusion is not-too-distant completion, which leaves release publicity up to marketing executives. Market works pending, Playstation fans may not have long to wait for Sony’s newest gaming technology.

This year has really been hard on Playstation fans, especially when it came to having to deal with worries of hacked bank accounts and not being able to go online with their favorite multi-media device to play their favorite games due to the “Anonymous” hacking organization taking over the Playstation Network. Now that security issues in the Playstation gaming world have finally been resolved, gamers can finally get back to doing what they love most: taking advantage of the best Playstation game features of 2011.

2011 has definitely introduced a phenomenal line-up of Playstation gaming titles that take advantage of the innovative Playstation Move motion gaming controller, which has proven to be a fan favorite over certain competitor’s versions of motion gaming technology. From first-person shooter games to realistic sports simulations, this technology has proven to be a future gold mine for Playstation.

For those who had a Playstation Network account prior to the hacking incident, a handful of free games and a year subscription to the Playstation Premium online service came their way, as a consolation for months of missed gaming and vulnerability to identity theft. Sounds like they did a good job making it up to fans. There is nothing like a free game and free membership to premium services!

2011 has brought Playstation fans one step closer to that reality with the introduction of 3-D gaming, by far the best Playstation game features of 2011. What will be the best Playstation game features for next year? Could Virtual Reality games, that gamers could literally get into, be a possibility in 2012? Let’s hope so!

Want to plan the ultimate gaming part? There are only a few crucial elements but they’re all important so take our advice and get your place ready for the party to end all parties
Get Your Internet Under Control: Make sure you’ve got a fast, reliable connection like wireless internet and don’t rely on spotty service. If you need to, call your cable provider ahead of time to ensure which time of day allows the best gaming experience.
Get Some Snacks: Every good gamer’s worth his weight in Cheetos but that doesn’t mean you’ve got to serve them. Have some cheese and crackers and high-end Swedish meatballs on hand for the hungriest if not most discerning of your friends.
Get a Bracket Going: Nothing makes a gaming party more epic than some good old-fashioned competition and what better way to encourage it than through a bracket? Even if you’re not into NCAA basketball you’ll be able to appreciate the simplicity and fairness of this type of scheduling and your friends will too.

Acer laptops are known for their gaming power. The nice thing about that is they are able to run virtually any game you load on them. Given the current state of gaming, some of the most popular games are multiplayer, first-person shooter, and strategy titles. Here are just a few of the best around.

Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO): Some of the titles in this category include World of Warcraft, Rift, Warhammer Online, and Guild Wars. There are lots of other titles out there but these are some of the top rated ones.

First-Person Shooter: These games are action packed and have a knack for pulling you into the action. Some of the most notable titles include Duke Nukem, Doom, Quake, and Half Life. These games usually have a story mode and then maps that gamers can challenge each other in for a “death match”. With the portability of the Acer laptop, you can challenge your friends anywhere at LAN parties.

Strategy games: In this genre there are heavyweights like Starcraft and Command and Conquer. These games usually have a solo campaign and then some sort of multiplayer component to let players battle each other. Some of these games even allow players to create custom maps for multiplayer use.

The xbox 360 is an astounding piece of hardware. It allows you to play with other people around the globe, in real time. Another cool concept is the xbox headset. Not only can you play with others around the globe, but you can also communicate with them, and make a new friend or two. Another cool feature is that you can download music to the xbox’s hard drive, and play it at any time of the day, even while you are playing a game. Which means no more stopping a gaming session to play some ear pleasing music.
When you think about this amazing console you realize that it is, simply put, amazing in almost every single way. The wireless controller lets you play the game however is most comfortable, without worrying about strangling yourself on accident. I mean why should you have to worry about such things when you are trying to focus on gaming? When you think about corded controllers, they are really quite a hassle. They get tangled, cats bite through them, and the make a room a mess. So when you think of the astounding xbox console don’t forget to think about the wonderful wireless controllers.

So, your Xbox 360 has the dreaded Red Ring of Death, and now you need to know what to do. The obvious answer, if it’s still under warranty, is to send it back to the manufacturer for repair. But there are some other options you can consider, if your warranty has expired.

The first step is to make sure you actually have the Red Ring. The Red Ring of Death is when three of the four red lights that circle the power button of the console are lit. There are other error conditions that can occur that will light one, two, or all four of the red lights to become lit, but these are not the Red Ring.

If your problem is in fact the Red Ring of Death, it is likely caused by one of two things. Either your console is not getting enough power, or the console is overheating. If the issue is a lack of power, it can be easily identified as such and remedied without needing to repair your console. If, however, the Xbox is overheating, there are still several ways to solve the problem.

First, try restarting the console, or unplugging and reattaching the cables and power cords. You can also leave it alone for a period of time so it can cool down. Finally, you can take the console to a repair shop. Soon, you’ll be back up and playing your favorite Xbox games.

Many parents struggle with allowing their children to spend endless hours in front of the TV playing video games, but in all reality, they shouldn’t. Studies have time and again proven the developmental benefits of playing video games, particularly in young adults. For example, did you know that playing target-practice type games like Halo or Call of Duty can vastly improve your child’s hand eye coordination? There’s a strong link between video game hand-motions and brain/eye function which is why many professional establishments and even the US Military use video games as part of a training regimen. Additionally, games like World of Warcraft aid in development of problem solving skills in kids as young as 8, so encourage your children to play mentally straining, puzzle solving games if they’re insistent on gaming. Last but not least, many video games allow for socialization among high-risk groups like teen boys and young adults. Playing in groups and even online through a wireless internet connection is a great way to help your children learn good sportsmanship and teamwork if they’re not particularly athletic. With so many negative studies surrounding gaming nowadays it’s important to remember how beneficial video games can actually be.

There are several video games you can buy for your children that are fun and educational. One of these games is “JumpStart: Escape From Adventure Island”. In this game children are stuck on and island after their blimp crashes. In order to get home the children must solve over 100 problems, including math and reading problems. Another great ” JumpStart “game is”JumpStart Pet Rescue”. In this game preschoolers learn skills, such as memory, creativity, listening and several motor skills. Also available are multiple Sesame Street games. One of these games is “Sesame Street: Elmo’s A to Zoo Adventure” which is aimed towards preschoolers. In this game children go in search for animals who want to be friends. Children also learn their letters, the sound each letter makes and learn different words. Another Sesame Street game available is ” Sesame Street: Cookie’s Counting Carnival “. In this game Cookie Monster and Big Bird are the stars. While playing this game children explore a carnival, where they learn there numbers, how to count and how to recognize shapes and patterns. So if you want a game for your children that is fun and educational, any of these would be a great choice.

While you may think that video games are only for adults. There are now more ways for you to get your toddler to become more comfortable with technology early on. The thing to look at before choosing a game for your toddler is what interface is most appropriate for your child.

If you own a Wii this is the easiest console to show your toddler to play new games. The motion controls are quick and easy to use and teach since the controller acts like a real world object. This also helps your toddler advance according to Worf’s theory of play by having them learn complex game formats earlier on and shows them how to interact with people as well as objects.

If you don’t own a Wii there are plenty of ways to get your child involved in gaming. The best way to accomplish this is to find a game that is associated with characters and things they know. Be sure to have patience when showing them how to use the mouse or keyboard in order to play these games.

These are just a few suggestions for you to teach your toddler how to play video games. The best thing to do though is to take your time and find something that is easily accessed. If you do this you and your toddler will be having fun in no time.
